The Rossmoyne site was chosen for its central location near the peaceful Canning River and easy access via major transport routes. Today the fully-accredited residential care facility is a popular choice for dependent members of the community who appreciate the caring Adventist Christian character of the support provided.

The ‘homely’ residential care program, with a total of 60 aged care beds, offers a service where elderly men and women receive quality care from trained and qualified staff. The holistic program gives a physical, social and spiritual emphasis to ensure residents remain as healthy and happy as possible.

Beyond the residents’ private room spaces, the home provides a variety of functional and attractive facilities, including:

  • dining rooms
  • lounges
  • activity rooms
  • secured gardens areas
  • outdoor seating

Services come to the residents in this home. While trained Registered Nurses and carers are always present, other visiting health professionals, including doctors, dentists and podiatrists, provide care to residents in the privacy of their own rooms where necessary.

Adjacent to the care facility is the attractive Rossmoyne Waters, from where many of the residents have relocated.

What facilities are available?

Adventist Care currently offers residential aged care services within a single facility called Sherwin. This facility has well-served the community for many decades and has undergone several renovations to maintain functionality and appearance.

While Sherwin has been appreciated and has met the needs of many seniors, Adventist Care is currently investing in a brand-new Residential Aged Care Facility, which should be available in 2025.

Our facility, Sherwin, is situated adjacent to the Canning River. Its ideal location at the Rossmoyne site gives easy access to major transport routes. Close by is Rossmoyne Waters, where a number of our residents have moved.

Our homely residential care program aims to make you or your loved one feel like you are home. Our facility has 60 beds and a friendly staff that will take care of you round-the-clock. The program includes holistic care focusing on physical, social, and spiritual well-being.

We currently have Sherwin as our residential aged care facility, which boasts several features and amenities, primarily vegetarian meals and premises that are smoke-free, alcohol-free, and of course, secured.

Yes, we have doctors, fully trained and registered nurses, and carers on site. We also have physiotherapists and occupational therapists on our team. However, please take note that only nurses and carers are always present. Still, doctors, dentists, and other health professionals do visit on a regular basis.

Since 1963, we have offered a supportive environment to dependent seniors within a single facility we call Sherwin. Although it has provided adequate space for the residents, there is a growing need for more. That’s why Adventist Care is investing in a new facility, which will soon accommodate more seniors in 2025.
